I worked on this unique project for my botanical illustration placement and couldn’t have been happier to do so. Working on it enabled me to use my knowledge and skills in different illustration techniques to bring a piece to life which I’m extremely proud of. Modern Disney Meets Science
Thoughtfully Designed
My love for scientific illustration made me itch to contemporise the style to better engage the general public- so what better way to do so than with the timeless animal characters from Disney. With each project I’m involved in, I see to it that it’s undertaken efficiently — from the initial brainstorming session and first rounds of sketches all the way to the final illustration. With this piece, I knew I wanted my interpretation to be something that would leave a lasting impression with the audience, and the end result did just that.
Medical Art Placement
An Artistic Eye
This project was one that was very personal to me. Having always loved biology and been unsure of biology vs art as a career path, I arranged two medical illustration placements- one within Aneurin Bevan Health Board and the other with Cardiff & Vale University Health Board.
